When are sessions held?
Family sessions are held typically starting the hour before sunset. All photos in my family portfolio were taken during this "golden hour" which allows for optimal lighting. No bright sunshine in your eyes. Just beautiful, flattering light.
If the timing doesn't work for your family, try a different time of year when sunset is either earlier (later fall) or later (summer).
Newborn sessions in your home are usually held in the morning around 9 or 10 am or afternoons.
How long does it take to see my photos?
For full sessions you'll receive your full gallery in around 3 weeks.
Senior or Mini sessions: You will receive a watermarked proof gallery within 1-2 weeks. From there you have a week to choose your favorites. You are able to upgrade your gallery to include more images or a custom album if you wish.
You will receive your final photos 2 weeks after selecting your favorites.
What if the weather doesn't work out or one of my kids is sick?
If it is raining or poor weather we will reschedule. I cannot guarantee the same day of the week but we will work together to figure something out!
If you need to cancel, per my contract, the deposit you paid on booking will be applied to a future session used within 12 months from your original
date.
I'm booked....What should we wear??
When you book a session I will send you my session guide that has info about what looks best on camera. I also recommend that you send me a picture of your outfits weeks before the session so I can guide you in the right direction if needed.
Do you shoot weddings?
No, sorry! But I can recommend photographers if you need.
Do you travel?
I'm located in Duxbury, MA and will travel 30-45 mins. More than that will have a travel fee. Contact me for details.
Where do you recommend printing my photos?
Your online gallery has a store where you can order the best quality prints possible. When I send you the final gallery It's all right there. Reach out with any questions!
I'm nervous my child/baby won't smile.
I photograph you as you are in that moment. I don't force people to smile during my sessions and neither should you! I want to capture people's true personality. I'll give prompts and play some quick games with kids to get them warmed up and comfortable. Babies are unpredictable but we go with the flow!
