Since I was young one of my favorite things to do is look through old photos- my parent's big plastic bin with piles of photos from my childhood. They are mostly candids of my sister and I and what life was like in the 1980s and 1990s. It really brings me back and helps me remember things that I had completely forgotten about!
More recently, I love looking at photos from when my two boys were babies. When they actually loved snuggling with me, gave me wet kisses and were learning new things every day.
It's the way the photos make you FEEL
I think it's important for everyone to be IN photos- especially the person who is usually the photo-taker. I am always the photo-taker (obviously!) and I rarely have candid photos of myself and my husband or myself and my two boys. Each year I make time to hire a photographer to capture us at that time in our lives- but I don't want just the pretty posed pictures. I want to remember my son's personality and how goofy he can be, how much my other son loves to run and climb on everything and how tall they were next to me that particular year.
In my Family sessions I want to capture that for you too.
the in-between moments where things may not be perfect,
but they are you.
They are your unique, ever changing family.
Beach photo sessions are my fav- and I think I know why...
I've always lived near the beach. I was born and raised on Cape Cod spending many days on Old Silver Beach in North Falmouth during my childhood and spoiled with the warm waters. We then moved to Marshfield (yikes cold water!) where I spent most of my life and was lucky to live in another beach town. I now live in Duxbury, MA where the drive on beach is #life. I don't think I could ever get sick of the ocean!
