My approach
Your custom newborn session is done in your home where you and your new baby are the most comfortable. I will come into your home and beautifully capture this fleeting... and, let's be honest, often messy...time in your life in your own environment. My sessions are baby led, which means we go with the flow and when baby needs a break, she/he gets one.
I will be getting pictures of you holding and cuddling with your baby, your baby laying comfortably and naturally in his or her crib or on your bed- all using the natural light coming through the windows.
MY GOAL IS TO GIVE YOU PHOTOGRAPHS THAT SHOW THE NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS ALONG WITH THE MESSY/CRAZY ONES.
"This is real life, and we are going to document it!" Is something I say often during newborn in-home sessions- especially if a parent apologizes for the state of their living room, or for their toddler (who is adjusting to this new way of life).

Do you travel for photoshoots?
A travel fee is included if more than 30 min outside of Duxbury, MA.
How old should my baby be for the photos?
Ideally your baby is 1-2 weeks old. BUT- can really be anywhere from 1 week to 3 months old. If your baby is older, we can talk about an in-home family session instead.
When should I book my newborn session? and how to you schedule if I don't know when I'll deliver?
Great question! I recommend scheduling anytime before you are due, ideally at least 2 months before your due date at the latest to ensure I have availability. We schedule a tentative date and tweak it as needed! I'm pretty flexible :)
Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?

What time of day are newborn sessions?
Newborn sessions are held around 10AM during weekdays. If you need a weekend date a $50 fee is included.
I'm nervous my house won't be clean enough!
As long as you have some areas picked up it doesn't have to be "clean," but I do recommend removing or reducing clutter.
I often shoot in the primary bedroom, nursery and sometimes in the living room but it really depends on the light coming through the windows.
Think about what will be in the background to figure out what is priority to clean. The day of we can move things around too!

Do you involve siblings?
YES!! Toddlers run the session when they are involved.
Don't forget about pets- as long as you feel safe with them around the baby.
When will I receive our photos?
About 2-3 weeks after your session you will receive an online gallery to download your images. You may also purchase amazing quality prints and other products here too through your online store.
